Pain control helps your pet through its recovery period, relieving pain and stress associated with the procedure. Your pet will receive a post-surgical injection for pain control, which lasts approximately 6-8 hours. Additional pain control will be administered at the Doctor’s discretion according to your pet’s individual needs.
As with any procedure requiring general anesthesia, there are risks of serious complications or even death may result.
Please be aware that shaving a patch of fur is necessary for the safe placement of a sterile IV catheter. Fur must also be shaved for surgeries that require skin incisons.
A member of the team will contact you to go over discharge instructions and to set up a pick up time following your pet's procedure. Please note that late pick-ups after 6:00pm will be subject to an additional fee of $30 for every 10 minutes late.
As the owner of the above pet, I certify that I am over the age of 18 and I authorize the staff of this hospital to perform the procedure(s) listed above. As with all anesthetic, treatment, and/or surgical procedures, I understand there are risks inherent in these services. I acknowledge that staff members at this practice have explained the procedures to me, answered questions to my satisfaction and cannot be held responsible for any unforeseeable results. Further, I understand that I am financially responsible for all costs incurred during this surgery, treatment and hospitalization. I hereby release the owner and employees of Loyal Family Veterinary Hospital from any and all legal liability related to procedures and services rendered.
